Key Features and Benefits
Xolegel® Gel is a prescription medicine used on the skin (topical) to treat seborrheic dermatitis. It's a non-greasy gel formulation of 2% ketoconazole that you apply just once daily for 14 days.
If you suspect you have seborrheic dermatitis, consult your dermatologist. He or she may recommend medication to help manage your symptoms. Ask if prescription Xolegel Gel is right for you.
Xolegel Gel provides treatment that is:
- Clinically proven
In a clinical study, 80 percent of patients were symptom free after just two weeks of treatment.9
- Long lasting
In a clinical trial, patients who used Xolegel Gel as directed remained symptom free for up to six weeks after treatment ended.9 In another clinical study, more patients' skin stayed clear longer with Xolegel Gel than with a leading prescription steroid treatment.10
- Fast working
Xolegel Gel is applied once a day for two weeks. Other FDA approved products require treatment for up to six weeks.11 Once-a-day application means you may spend less time and effort managing your skin.
- Steroid free
Xolegel Gel is steroid free, so you avoid steroid related side effects such as thinning skin, dryness and irritation.
- A clear gel
The translucent, non-greasy gel goes on smoothly and dries clear. Just 20 minutes later, you can apply make-up or sunscreen right over it. You can also apply Xolegel Gel to areas that have hair without the mess of cream or foam.
The bottom line?
Used once daily, Xolegel Gel is an effective, long lasting treatment for moderate to severe seborrheic dermatitis.12
